Ten-thousand Mu Hayagawa Grape Demonstration Garden is a provincial
class grape demonstration garden by Jiangsu Provincial People’s
Government in 1999．Hayagawa Grape Demonstration Garden was set up
in 1992 with the help of Mr. Hayagawa, who is a famous grape expert
in Japan. After several years hard-working by China experts and
Japan experts, the garden formed a certain scale with good properties
such as early ripe, big grain, good variegation, high content of
sugar, fruit tidy and stable output, especially, it can last 30
years or even more.
The local government pays more attention to the introduction of
professionals and sending personnel abroad for advanced study. Zhenjiang
Ten-thousand Mu Hayagawa Grape Demonstration Garden has developed
to near 2000 mu (one hectares is 15 mu) scale in Chuncheng Town
of Jurong City. That such a large scale of grape demonstration garden
can be achieved within a short period mainly comes from the introduction
of professionals from abroad. Starting from 1992, many Japanese
grape experts have been invited by Zhenjinag Foreign Experts Bureaus
(former Zhenjiang Office for Introduction of Foreign Talents) to
train technicians and give lecture for local farms, and also several
technical personnel have been sent to Japan to study the advanced
grape growing technology.
 With
the help from Japanese grape experts, the grapes grow in Zhenjiang
Ten-thousand Mu Hayagawa Grape Demonstration Garden are very popular
all over East China because of its good taste.
At present, Zhenjinag Foreign Experts Bureaus has applied Zhenjiang
Ten-thousand Mu Hayagawa Grape Demonstration Garden to State Foreign
Experts Bureau for National Class Grape Development Base. Hope the
growing technology of Hayagawa grape can be shared throughout all
China.
