Qili Agriculture Scientific Testing Farm

Qili Agriculture Scientific Testing Farm is a proving ground owned
by Qili Town， integrating agriculture, industry and commerce as
a whole. As the base of vegetable center and germinating farm of
special introduction species, it was also named Zhenjiang Vegetable
Model Garden by Zhenjiang Municipality Government and New Vegetable
Species Introducing Technique Model Garden by Jiangsu Provincial
Administration of Foreign Experts.
With a fixed asset of ￥8500,000, Qili Agriculture Scientific Testing
Farm covers an area of 283.5 Mu (one hectares is about 15 Mu), in
which there are 30 Mu of vegetable technique testing base, 70 Mu
of vegetable populizing base. They have 180 stuffs and 8 professionals.
Three of them are intermediate titles, and the other five are primary
ones. They took the burden of investigating project, for example,
Three Programs of Renovation and Study of Green Vegetables and so
on. In the mean time, they are also responsible for vegetable technique
testing and projects of Jiangsu province, Zhenjiang municipality
and the districts respectively. Their technique of pest’s preventing
net got the first prise of Zhenjiang Science and Technology Improvement
with the project called “Anniversary
 Supply
of Cauliflower” in the third place.
This year, they made a reconstruction of watering and power supplying
system in their garden, in order to smooth the work of production,
demonstration and populization of green vegetables and realize the
ongoing projects. For economic booming and finding new increasing
point, we introduced Christmas Red and Crabapple etc. They will
be ready to come into the market in scores when the New Year’s Day
comes.
Qili Agriculture Scientific Testing Farm made outstanding social
economic and ecological benefits by supplying 480,000 kg green vegetables
and lots of other products, say, fish, chicken, milk and so on.
