Comprehensive
Development Science and Technology Demonstration Garden
 It
is a comprehensive development science and technology demonstration
garden in Jurong City, undertaken by Zhenjiang Agriculture Science
Institute of Jiangsu Hilly Region.
The demonstration garden covers an area of 20 hectares Starting
from March 1997, the first phase project has set up several demonstration
gardens of various fruits such as grape, fig, persimmon, strawberry,
as well as vegetables, grass and flowers seed for exporting. It
also made some growing experience for pear from Japan, plum, loquat,
waxberry, and mulberry fruit from America and date from Sihong County.
In June 1998, the second phase project started and the demonstration
garden grow honey peach from Japan and date, apricot and persimmon
from Sihong County, walnut from America and big cherry from Japan.
In recent years, the demonstration garden has received near 18000
person-time visitors from different provinces and cities including
200 foreign experts. More than ten times
 training
activities were held in the demonstration garden. The demonstration
garden has become the science and technology-training base, achievements
demonstration base and seed and seedling base for agriculture comprehensive
development in the hilly region of Jiangsu Province.
New variety TIYOHIME peach imported from abroad.
Mr. NAGA NAWA, fruit tree expert from Japan, is guiding how to
trim fruit tree branch.
