On March 4th, Monday, the Municipal Party Committee held the meeting of heads of the United Front Departments throughout the city, relaying and carrying out the spirit of the National Conference of Ministers of the United Front Departments and the provincial forum on united front work. At the same time, they summarized and exchanged the work in 2001 and studied and deployed the work in our city this year.
On March 4th, Monday, the removal work of the Nanxu Road has entered the period of moving and signing agreements.
On March 5th, Tuesday, the Municipal Commission for Inspecting Discipline held the second plenary session, delaying and acting in the spirit of the 7th plenary session of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the important speech of Chairman, Jiang Zemin and the second plenary session of the provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection. Also they reviewed and summarized the work in 2001 and studied and deployed the task of building an honest and clean government as swell as the party¡¯s work style and work on anticorruption.
On March 6th, Wednesday, the Municipal meeting on rural work was held in Yiquan Hotel (Lasting two days) the secretary of Municipal Party Committee Zhangweiguo attended the meeting and made important speech.
On March 5th, Tuesday, the mayor, Shi Heping and Vice Mayor, Xie Xinpeng met with the delegation of Korean UNID Group who came to Zhenjiang for investigation and discussion.
On March 6th, the Municipal Party Committee and city government held the Municipal meeting on organiztion and personnel work. Zhang Weiguo, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee made an important speech. Dai Yuan, head of organization Department and Standing Member of Municipal Party Committee and Chen Jianshe, Vice Mayor and head of Personnel Bureau made working report respectively.
Also on March 5th, Tuesday, the city Bureau of Radio, Film and Television together with the City Public Security Bureau of State Security jointly dismantled the receiving antennas of satellite televisions installed without permission by some people in the urban area.
On March 7th, Thursday, Wu Quanxu, general and vice chief of the general staff inspected the work on troops training in our city, accompanied by the secretary of Municipal Party Committee, Zhang Weiguo.
