On Jan 31st, Saturday, the working conference on the open city was held in Yangzhong. The Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government appropriated 7.6 million Yuan as bonus to carry out No. 1 Document formulated at the beginning of 2003.
At he summing-up and commending meeting in 2003 held on the afternoon of Feb 2nd, Monday in Zhenjiang New Zone, the Party Secretary Shi Heping demanded that the New Zone unremittingly take lead in developing and build its own brands with newer thoughts and measures so as to make greater contribution to building a promising Zhenjiang in the Southern Jiangsu.
On the afternoon of Feb 3rd, Tuesday, the Party Secretary Shi Heping inspected some of the key Industrial projects in our city and encouraged the key enterprises to speed up the system and technical innovation so as to be larger and stronger enterprises with the advantages of lare-scale production.
On Feb 4th, Wednesday, after listening to the report on the urban construction in 2004 from the Planning Bureau and other departments concerned, the Party Secretary Shi Heping demanded the whole city make joint efforts and support each other so as to fulfill each task satisfactorily under meticulous organization and scientific command with spirit of overcoming difficulties, bearing hardship and struggling hard.
On Feb 5th, Thursday, the Party Secretary Shi Heping and the city leaders Zhang Qingsheng and Li Guozhong came to the foreign enterprises such as the Gold East Papar, Guoheng Chemistry and Jingyang Cement to express solicitude to the investors and inquire about their production.
Also on Feb 5th, Thursday, our city held the Lantern Festival Evening party in the Nanxu hall, Biyuyuan Hotel. The city leaders gathered happily together with delegates from the literary and art circles and private enterprises to celebrate our traditional festival.
On the morning of Feb 6th, Friday, Lhasa Party and Government delegation headed by Guo Jinlong, the Party Secretary of the Tibet Autonomous Region visited our city accompanied by the vice Provincial Party Secretary Feng Mingang. On the forum, both sides summarized and reviewed their nearly ten-year supports between two regions and discussed another ten-year cooperation and support. The leaders attended the forum.
