| Nov 17 - Nov 20 | After three day intense work, the national recheck group finished the check on the work concerning striving for the National Sanitary City. At the information-report meeting held on Nov 16th, Sunday, the group declared that our city has reached the basic requirements regulated by the standards of National Sanitary City in an all-round way. The Party Secretary Shi Heping stressed that there is no terminus but start for the work and we should further improve the relevant work, viewing the check as a turning point. The city leaders Wu shunan, Guo Lirong, Zhou Daping, Sun Yanli, Jiang Licheng, Chen Zhuzhi, Li Guozheng, Shao Zhenyu, Huang Baorong, Xu Guoping and Xie Xinpeng attended the meeting.
On Nov 18th, Tuesday, the Party Secretary She Heping met with Yang Hongqi and senior leader of Guangxi Liuzhou Engineering Group, who came here to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of Jiangsu Liuzhou Engineering Group Industrial Park Yang, former head of Engineering and Agricultural Machinery Department of the Ministry of Machine-Building Industry is the secretary-general of the Mechanical Engineering Branch under China Machinery Industry Association. The city leaders Zhang Qingsheng and Li Guozhong were also present.
On Nov. 18th, Tuesday, a modernized production base of mechanical engineering----Jiangsu Liuzhou Engineering Group Industrial Park settled in our city formally. The city leaders Zhang Qingsheng, Sun Yanli, Li Zhuangyun, Li Maochuan and Zhang Kemin attended the opening ceremony and laid the foundation stone for it.
Also on Nov. 18th, Tuesday, the 2003 China Danyang International Economy and Trade Fair Talk was solemnly held. The vice chairman of the Standing Committee with the Provincial People¡¯s congress Fang Zhizhuo, the vice provincial governor Li Quanlin and the city leaders Shi Heping, Zhou Daping, Li Guozhong, Hu Zhixian, Chen Jianshe as well as nearly 600 foreign businessmen all over the world were present.
On Nov. 17th, Monday, the city leaders Shi Heping and Guo Lirong tenderly met in Biyu Garden with Xie Xiulan with her party, who was the vice Secretary of the Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission and head of the Provincial Supervision Department.
On Nov. 19th, Wednesday, Zhenjiang Jiaoshan Petrochemical Industry Co. Ltd under China Petrochemical Industry Company was set up formally. The 700 thousand ton carbon project started at the same time, which marked that the company retreated to the district from the city and the moving of pollution was operated formally to return the blue sky and clean water to the masses. The city leaders Shi Heping, Wu Shunan, Zhang Qingsheng, Huang Baorong, Li Maochuan, Du Zhenqi and honored guests from the petrochemical industry, iron and steel industry and casting industry at home and abroad attended the ceremony.
On Nov. 20th, Tuesday, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Li Yuanchao made investigation on the riverain. Shi Heping reported this year¡¯s work to him on behalf up the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government Zhao Shaolin, member of the Standing Committee with the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary-general, the city leaders Wu Shulan, Guo Lirong, Zhang Qingsheng, Zhou Daping, Sun Yanli, Jiang Licheng, Chen Zhuzhi, Li Guozhong, Zhang Xudong, Huang Baorong, Chen Jianshe, Xu Guoping, Li Maochuan and Wangping attended the research.
