On Sunday, Sep 14th, the provincial investigation & study group on seeking cultural and ideological progress, headed by Chan Qizhi, assistant inspector of the provincial government body work committee, arrived in our city, conducting the 3-day-long investigation on the building work of culture and ideological progress. Vice Party Secretary, chairman of the Municipal Cultural & Ideological Progress Commission, Wu Shunan, standing member of the Municipal Party Committee, director of the Publicity Department, vice chairperson of the Municipal Cultural & Ideological Progress Commission, Sun Yanli, and vice mayor Wang Ping attended the report meeting in the afternoon.
On Monday, Sep 15th, member of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC, vice minister of Supervision, Li Yunfu pointed it out that we should increase our efforts to unite our energy and resources in the work of the Party Style and clean government construction, and deepen continuously the work fighting corruption and building a clean government. He made these remarks when inspecting the work in Zhenjiang. City leaders, Xu Jinrong, Wu Shunan, Jiang Licheng attended the report meeting in Yiquan Hotel on the work of discipline inspection & supervision in our city.

Centered on the topic of ¡°How to increase the disposable income of urban residents and achieve the target of making people rich and city powerful¡± on the morning of Sep 17th, Vice Party Secretary, acting mayor Xu Jinrong and vice mayor Li Maochuan went deep into some of the non-government-run enterprises in our city, conducting the special investigation on how to develop the privately-run economies and raise the resident¡¯s income.
On the afternoon of Sep 17th, acting mayor Xu Jinrong met cordially in Zhenjiang International Hotel, with Mr. Jeff, secretary-general of the US APA Planning Association.
On the morning of Sep 19th, the Municipal People¡¯s Political Consultative Conference and Chinse Peasant¡¯s and Workers¡¯ Democratic Party, Zhenjiang Committee sponsored more than 10 agricultural and medical experts for the old revolutionary area of Rongbing Town, Dantu District, spreading scientific and offering medical services to the farmers, and helping them solve problems and difficulties.
From Sep 10th to 16th, Party Secretary Shi Heping headed the Zhenjiang Economic & Trade Delegation for Taiwan region to explore and solicit business, which yielded fat returns.
