Ni3 shang4 na3 r?
Welcome to join us to learn Chinese. This time I would like to introduce you one Chinese phrase that is used by our Chinese so frequently. That is " Ni shang na?"

People would say "Hi" when they greet with others. However, people in China usually prefer "Ni Shang Na?" to saying "Hi". "Ni" means "You" and "Shang" equals to the verb "go" in English. Then "Na" refers to the place where you want to go. Although it is inappropriate by saying "Where are you going?" in some English speaking countries, this phrases is still so popular in our Chinese daily life.
