Coking Plant, being the core of Zhenjiang Coking & GasGroup
and having a fixed estate of RMB92.5 million and over 2,000 personnel,
is the largest manufacturing enterprise of specific coke in China.
In 1989, along with Zhongshan Co. Ltd of Hong Kong, it set up a
Chinese Foreign contractual joint venture ie., Zhenjiang Jinzhong
Specific Coke Co. Ltd. Situated in the east suburbs of Zhenjiang
City on the south bank of Yangtze River, the enterprise occupies
an area of 560,000 M2 with a construction of 84,000 M2. A self-owned
railway runs up to meet the national rail line, and the 2000 Ton-berth
dock and 100 Ton-berth dock offer access to the Yangtze River, thus
transport both by water and land being very convenient.
The enterprise mainly possesses following facilities: a JN38-86
stamp charge coke oven, two 66-2 coke ovens, two 66-7 coke ovens,
a 45000×Φ2200mm rotating kiln, an auxiliary chemical recovery system,
a three-waste treatment system and a civil gas purification system.
It is the civil gas supplier for Zhenjiang city. The natural production
of coke is 150,000MT, quality foundry coke, 100,000MT calcined petrol-coke
and 80,000MT metallurgical coke, of which the Golden Elephant foundry
coke has caught up with the advanced world level for the same kind.
It was appraised by the state as superfine and first grade, and
was awarded with the second prize of important science and technology
progress by the state, the first prize of important scientific research
achievement by the metallurgy ministry and the title of quality
product by the province.
 The
enterprise also produces chemical series; waterproof coating rolls,
granular asphalt, carbon series and carburant series. Its products
are well sold both in the mainland and on such overseas markets
as japan, Korea, Tailand, Germany, India, Iran, Taiwan and Hong
Kong.
As the reforming & opening policy is exercised, Zhenjiang Coking
Plant is becoming more and more vigorous and prosperous. It enterprise
